The freedom of peaceful assembly is the right to gather with others. This freedom includes the freedom to participate in peaceful assemblies, meetings and other gatherings for a specific purpose. In Canada, Everyone has the freedom to have a peaceful assembly. The Government may not limit this freedom for certain groups for example based on race, color, gender, language, religion, national or social origin, property, birth or any other groups. Today the Canadian government and charter protects people's ability to come together and work for the common good.Freedom of assembly sometimes can be looked at the same way as the freedom of association, both of them are individual freedoms to come together and collectively express, help, follow and protect common interests. The right to freedom of assembly is recognized as a human right, a political freedom.
